MISSIONS
“I have made you a light for Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.” Acts 13:47.
Part of our mission as a church is to share the gospel of Christ and support mission organisations to build His kingdom. We encourage our members to live out their faith in the community, and embody His love for one another.
Every July, the missions team organises ‘missions month’ to mobilise our church family to pray, give and reach out to our community and beyond.
Our mission team is led by Ps Shirley, and comprises representatives from each congregation – Fong Peng, Ho-Yuin and Pat (English), Tom (Mandarin) and Cindy (Cantonese).
We partner with overseas ministries and support local organisations.
OUR MISSIONARIES
Wolfgang & Heidi (New Hope Ministries)
Location: Borneo Island, Indonesia
Background & Focus:
Wolfgang and Heidi are from Nuremberg, Germany. Wolfgang taught in a Secondary School and Heidi worked as a Registered General Nurse, before God called them into missions. New Hope is a Boarding Home that provides a safe and healthy environment for approx. 120 children from remote villages to grow in their love of God and reach their full potential.
Elisha & Phyllis (Frontiers)
Location: South East Asia
Background & Focus:
Elisha and Phyllis served for 20 years in Bible translation ministry. Prior to that, Elisha was a pastor for 12 years.
Currently, Elisha and Phyllis are focusing on spreading the gospel and church planting. Please pray for them as they faces many challenges in this ministry.
Timothy Lau (Pioneers Australia)
Location: Melbourne & overseas
Background & Focus:
Pioneers Australia is one of many mobilisation bases under Pioneers International, with over three thousand workers working in different parts of the world. They are mobilising, training and sending workers to reach the unreached people.
Their prayer is to see more committed and visionary workers being raised up among the Asian community to reach Asians and beyond.
Leadership training and disciple-making are their main focus. They long to train up Christ-centered disciples and faith community.

Ernest & Monika Loh - Youth with A Mission (YWAM)
Location: Lausanne, Switzerland
Background & Focus:
Youth With A Mission is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world.
For more than 50 years, the YWAM Lausanne campus has focused on equipping students to preach the gospel. The vision of the Lausanne campus is to train “young people of all nations” to embrace a ministry vision for their world. They are excited to pioneer into more nations using today’s advancing technology and the enthusiasm of our students. To achieve this vision, they focus on three themes: community, training, and outreach.
Cathy Sharon (SIM)

Location: South Asia
Background & Focus:
Serving amongst the marginalised women and unfortunate children through education and empowering women.
Ps. Kundate (Church of God)
Location: Siem Reap, Cambodia
Background & Focus:
Prior to reaching out to the remote villages, Kundate was a pastor in the city church. Currently he has reached out to over 15 villages in the remote rural region and most of the people in those villages have received Jesus Christ to be their Lord and Saviour.
His prayer is to see more people hearing of the love and salvation of Jesus Christ as he continues his journey to other remote regions.
David Chan (City Bible Forum)
Location: Australia
Background & Focus:
Reaching the world through workers with the Good news of Jesus.
Since 1991, City Bible Forum has sought to create the spaces and opportunities near the workplace where intelligent discussions of God’s ways can take place. They engage with workers through events and public forums; they encourage workers through networks relevant to their age and stage; they facilitate evangelism and discipleship training alongside local churches.
Please pray for Christians in the workplace as they seek to live their faith, and that they will be salt and light to their colleagues.
Whitehorse Churches Care
Location: City of Whitehorse, Melbourne Australia
Background & Focus:
Whitehorse Churches Care is a charity formed by over 25 churches in Whitehorse. It provides a structure to foster practical unity across the churches, helping to facilitate relief efforts and support those in need within the local community. In particular this has included food related assistance and the provision of shelter for people experiencing homelessness during winter.
